A case of you

Barcelona

I was reading this article from The Atlantic by Eric Jaffe about 'The Best City Time Lapse Videos of 2011'. Besides all the characteristics this videos should have, I was thinking it's a good opportunity to travel the world in just a few minutes or revive experiences in the locations of these unique places. Yeah, yeah, yeah... soooo freaking ridiculous my lines above sound!!! Well, as an architect I just love to watch how cities are held or how the planning system works in each situation and this videos, believe it or not, are good x-rays of the integration people-architecture-space. Sounds better right?

The first video I post is from Barcelona, one of the most inspiring cities, with most talented artists along history. Love Barelona.

Unleash your fingers

Ok, this is not a TV commercial. I just found this amazing video and wanted to share with you. There's this guy named 'JayFunk' which apparently is an internet phenomenon for his finger coreographies, and trust me, after watching this video there's no doubt about his power. He is SOOO FREAKING AMAZING!!!
The thing is that Samsung took him from LAX to Paris as the main figure for their launch campaign of a new mobile gadget and left this brief but awsome 'finger dance'.
Enjoy!

Abel Ibañez Galván / ERRR-Magazine

I took this image from one his Facebook profiles, just hope he doesn't care hehehe...

Meet Abel Ibañez Galván the founder, editor and designer of the legendary ERRR-Magazine. He's also published a book called 'Cerdos', and is a musician of the band ´Peculiars'.
Here's an unforgettable talk with him I broadcasted through Panóptico in 2009. Enjoy!

Click here --> Entrevista Abel Ibañez-Panóptico

How it all started

Four years ago I started kind of a 'project', more like an 'adventure', of course I'm writting about PANóPTICO. The real thing is that I've never really known what is the goal of this crossing, maybe it's just my need of sharing and telling the world what I like and who I admire through their work. That's how this 'compendium' of creators has been built.
But before I took the blog format, PANóPTICO was a radio show broadcasted through my university radio station RADIO ANÁHUAC; fortunately I'm a real architect now! so there's not enough time to go to my school and broadcast a live weekly show, that's why I decided to stop that and continue my adventure through this blog.
The most enriching experience I got from that radio show was meeting some interesting characters and knowing a little bit more of their work. They're all creative, young, enterpreneurs developing their 'master pieces'.
So, I'll be posting, maybe weekly, maybe monthly one of these seven interviews. Just be aware that these interviews are not complete because I always forgot the CD to record them in time, there are about 10 to 15 minutes left on each interview... sorry hahaha!
Just really hope you enjoy them and learn a little bit of these brilliant creators as I did. By the way they're all record in Spanish.
